Summary
Previously started as Ascent Innovations LLP in 2019 by Yee Qing Xiang, a cyclist and former defense engineer, Ascent Innovations Pte Ltd is a designer and assembler of premium bicycles and components. We believe that rider experience is key to adopting and sustaining cycling as a hobby and sport, and our products are carefully designed to delight our riders, instead of just chasing specs and numbers. As a start-up, we have positioned ourselves at the mid-to-high end of the market, choosing to compete on quality and rider experience, rather than on price. One of our signature products is the mini velo, smaller wheeled, non-foldable bicycles that are praised for their light weight, responsiveness and maneuverability. They are particularly suited for urban cycling, and our key strength is being able to customize the mini velo to our client’s needs. We debuted with the Bolt mini velo, and recently introduced the higher-end Intrepid mini velo, which sold out shortly after introduction. We have since greatly expanded our product range to include Road and Fixed-Gear, where we sell complete bicycles and components. We are actively involved in product design for components and upgrades, which have a large addressable market.
