Double Helix Labs is building a non-custodial platform to allow patient consumers to better manage/exchange and preserve privacy for their health data, thereby enabling federated learning of longitudinal health data for precision medicine discovery. Our team has spent over 15 years in cell and gene therapy developing solutions for cancer and other diseases. Although the human genome has been sequenced for over 20 years, the understanding of the science is slow and the application of the science (precision medicine) is even slower. Broad longitudinal data sets coupled with AI/ML can greatly speed up this process. Currently, healthcare information is fragmented in institutionalized data silos. Data privacy laws make siloed information expensive to maintain and difficult to use. We are combining our domain expertise in distributed computing and biotech to enable a social genome marketplace: - Allow individuals to easily custody their own longitudinal genomics and health data, - Make data an inheritable property thereby allowing the aggregation of generations of data from parents, siblings, and children, - Accelerate the discovery of precision medicine solutions by making longitudinal data available for researchers, and - Enable other highly personalized services based on genetics and health. We have architected a decentralized platform that is the nexus for individuals to custody their own data as well as directly transact these data with businesses and researchers while preserving privacy and security. We are seeking $1M pre-seed funding in SAFEs and looking to bring on great investors and mentors.
